Bachelor of Photography | 2.5 Years FAST Tracked

Commencement Date: 28 June 2022

Our Bachelor of Photography degree course is now taking applications for our 2022 mid-year intake and 2023 February intake. Starting mid-year will give you the opportunity to fast track your qualification and complete it in just 2.5 years, with a compressed 1st semester. As a Bachelor of Photography student, you will graduate job-ready with strong industry networks and connections because of our industry focused curriculum, entrepreneurial and marketing subjects and the final year industry mentor program. 

Undergraduate Certificate of Photography | 3 Months

Commencement Date: 28 June 2022

The Undergraduate Certificate of Photography is an exciting newly accredited fully FEE-HELP enabled higher education course that provides a comprehensive introductory tertiary level photographic qualification. During a one-semester period, you will cover all the technical aspects needed to produce creative photographic images, ensuring you gain comprehensive skills in camera craft and digital postproduction. By exploring a range of photographic genres and visual approaches, you will develop your own photography practice, as well as learn about the history of photography and the influence it has had on contemporary photographic styles.

Undergraduate Certificate of Digital Imaging | 6 months

Commencement Date: 28 June 2022

In this course, the emphasis is on digital capture, workflow and digital technology skills, so important in today’s world. You will cover all the technical aspects needed to produce creative photographic images, ensuring you gain comprehensive skills in digital capture, workflow and image management. As you progress you will further these skills with digital postproduction and professional printing techniques, in addition, you will explore shooting on location and in the studio and use on-camera flash and reflectors. Additionally, you will work with mixed lighting and lighting design and in the studio, you will be introduced to studio photography, lighting and creative image construction.

Certificate IV in Photography & Photo Imaging | 20 Weeks Full-Time

Commencement Date: 25 July 2022

This course provides an intensive and highly practical hands-on learning experience. Over 6 months of full-time study, you will explore creative capture, lighting fundamentals, digital workflow and image processing. You will gain technical aptitude which will underpin your knowledge, as you build the foundations to create visual stories and compelling photographs. Upon completion, you will have developed a broad understanding of photography and may have the opportunity to continue your studies at a Bachelor's level.

Advanced Diploma of Photography | 4 Years Part-Time

For students wanting to turn their passion into a career, there is the option to undertake our unique nationally accredited and innovative part-time Advanced Diploma of Photography (10281NAT) course. This qualification is designed to produce professional photographer graduates ready for a career in the photography industry, with access to PSC’s forty-plus years of networks and experience. Studying for our part-time Advanced Diploma of Photography comprises two semesters per year for four years. 

Creative Photography Certificate | 20 Weeks Part-Time

Be inspired and gain confidence over 18 weeks, as you master your camera and learn to produce images that reflect your passion for photography. In this program, you will learn how to use your camera for creative effects and explore light and colour along with essential digital techniques to give you control of your outcomes. You will learn how to work in a professional digital environment and build good habits in your workflow to manage and safeguard your work. This aspect of the program will teach you how to use Adobe image editing software to make your photographs stand out from the crowd!

Pro Photography Certificate | 40 Weeks Part-Time
Building on all you have learnt in the Creative Photography Certificate course, you will learn how to extend your camera practice and techniques and gain confidence in photographing with purpose and intent, for the remainder of the year. This program introduces you to the traditions of photographic genres and styles and how to apply them to create dynamic imagery. Through defining an area of interest, you will produce and print your own professional standard photography portfolio.
